Achievement :)

Somebody asked me – which is the day you felt you have achieved something? I looked at her- and went to a deep thought.. Which was that day that I felt accomplished. Driven and successful. That’s when without further hesitation I said – the day I got my Driving Licence. It is by far the most contended day of my life. I felt as though a beggar was given a whole biryani 3 times a day. As though a fat kid was given his favorite cake, As though I was promoted as the president of my country. As though my life was going to change- and it did. They say it is one of the toughest things to achieve in the UAE and yes. It is true. The amount of time taken to wait for your turn to come to start classes is just unbelievable. Once you get your classes’ straight its time to apply for your practical classes and finally when you finish that –you need to wait for your test date. All this takes easily 9 months and finally when your test date comes, and you don’t pass –imagine going through those 9 months all over again. Sigh. But I got lucky. Truly. it wasn’t an easy phase. It was tough. Going for driving class during your work/after your work does get you stressed out. Since I had a tough teacher too, nothing more needs to be said. But all this is NOTHING compared to the feeling of getting your licence in the UAE at the first try. All the wrong feelings go away, and only happiness stays. Contentment. The feeling achieving something big. It is an achievement. A true achievement.
